War Games
Fake News Story
When I was younger I would purchase little green plastic soldiers set them up on 2 sides of the room and with a dart gun and a nerf ball would play out military operations and battles to the last man standing. All the men were green and I don’t remember naming the sides and I don’t remember having any anger towards any side, it was just fun and for some reason it seemed like the thing to do, maybe because of all the TV I watched as a kid. There seemed to always be a war movie on or a sitcom based on the military that was either funny, or was very emotional in many ways as dramas played out on the battlefields. At some point I grew up and became aware that killing little green men and women no longer seemed like a fun thing to do and wondered why do some people keep doing it for real since surely they must have grown up by now. Maybe the answer lies in my youth when the emotions to the game were detached and it didn’t matter the outcome of the battle or the war because I was going to be fine. I suppose the people that are invested most financially in war only care about the outcome for egotistical reasons and are very detached to what is actually taking place. These players are not on the front lines risking everything but behind the scenes risking their money and pride with hopes of becoming even greater in their mind than they already are. With more power and money it becomes possible to expand the wars and raise the game to new higher levels. Just like with board or video games going to the next level is important in order to keep one’s interest, and one’s interest in playing these games can vary widely. These players have also prepared for world wars by stock piling food and supplies in very sophisticated shelters just in case one of the players goes rouge and starts pushing too many buttons after a very boring evening, becoming upset over something, or just doesn’t want to play anymore. I do hear the arguments on how we need to go kill all the bad people in the world without a trial before they kill us without a trial. This is confusing to me, so who are the bad people again? Why does anyone want to kill us? Aren’t we the good people? If bad people want to kill good people and good people want to kill bad people, who is left? I guess only the indifferent? With this logic, very few people would be spared. Another question I have is why do they send the military so far away? Ok, I know it generates more expense that companies benefit from, but when we go setup a huge military presence on foreign soil it seems to only lead to more killing and bad feelings. Have you ever imagined a foreign country bringing 1000’s of men, vehicles and weapons to a town near you, setting up shop, and then starts dropping bombs on people, homes, and hospitals and turning cities into ghost towns except for people with machine guns, rocket launchers and tank like vehicles. I have never seen anyone with a rocket launcher or machine gun walking around town around here but in other places in the world where we have visited to play our war games there are cities in ruin with people walking around with machine guns. I always ask myself, where did they get these machine guns, rocket launchers, tanks, bombs, bullets, I assume this stuff isn’t cheep, who is the supplier? I don’t have a clue where I could go to get these weapons even if I could afford them, so I think it’s safe to say, someone has a lot of money and wants to spend it on weapons to kill people that they don’t even know, reminds me of the little green men. I believe peace will not come from perpetual war and cannot make you safer, but for those who differ, you can have my spot on the front lines shooting at people you never met. I have heard people from all places in the world repeat the phrase that most people in the world are good decent caring people, that is a lot of people, which means to me we shouldn’t be dropping bombs, I mean how many bad people are there that we need bombs that can end all life on the entire planet, but don’t let me scare you that’s already being done.

Time Machine? Let’s think about it first!
Fake News Story
Can we go back in time? Can we go forward in time? Will that ever be possible? Some people have actually said yes, that it is a possibility to go back in time, although as far as we know, the time machine has so far only been seen in movies not based on reality. But let’s for fun go ahead and assume one day in the future you can hop in the carriage turn the dial to the year you desire and presto in a flash of light you are on your way to whatever time fits your fancy. Sounds really cool at first but then if start to look at it in a more analytical way you realize the day they invent the time machine will be the day all hell breaks loose. One question is what happens to the person that gets transported back in time, since they may not have even been born yet. Can they take their cell phone with them? Will it work in the past? If they take a picture or show it to anyone will they kill them immediately? Or will they make them the new leader of the world changing all of history? So, I guess all the history books will need to be updated or will it happen automatically as they are constantly changing history from what has already been written? If they go back in time does everything that has already been created such as skyscrapers and electronic devices just dissolve into dust depending on what date you select? Can just one person go back in time? If they go back to a time when their parents were supposed to be conceiving them ( birthday ), can they stop themselves being born? If they do stop themselves from being born can they still be alive going back in time? I suppose anyone with a time machine could potentially live longer, as long as you got your faithful time machine you may be able to drag yourself into the carriage turn the dial back to a time before that bullet that just hit you and do something different that day. Anyway, I could go on and on about the repercussions of going back or forward in time but I’ll end this by saying let’s just hope they never invent a time machine because all hell will break loose.
